We had a family Christmas at our home in Ames and also went to NW Iowa to see Grandma's and Grandpa's, aunts, uncles, and many other extended family members. Ellsey loved seeing everyone and is thankful for all of her gifts!
Got the Christmas tree decorated with Mommy!
Working hard to get that wrapping paper off! At one point, Ellsey got a small paper cut on her nose from getting a little too excited with the wrapping paper! :)
Mmmmmm, wrapping paper.
Merry Christmas!
Ellsey's first Christmas! She loved it!
Checking out the gifts!
New sled! (now just need some snow...)
It was a very exciting day!
Ellsey spent her first New Year's at Grandpa and Grandma Boersma's with Uncle Kyle, Uncle Justin and Autie Kate while Mommy and Daddy went out with some friends. She had a great time and is looking forward to 2012 ahead!
Although Kyle had a broken arm, we decided to go see his last game. Ellsey was was pretty excited to take in a football game at the Metrodome.
Ellsey was pretty fascinated with Grandpa Boersma's name tag. She also thought it tasted pretty good too.
Ellsey got to see cousin Tatum (Naomi Hachaba's son).
She decided it was a pretty fun day and was quite happy about the experience (until she got hungry).
Ellsey has been getting teeth lately too. She has taken it pretty well so far, but I think she is on the easier teeth right now. So far she has her two bottom teeth.
Here's a little closer view of those toofers.
We were blessed to share Thanksgiving this year with Doug and Alicia Gunderson, but we were all distracted by Ellsey's 'entertainment'. The video below is approximately 2 minutes, but she carried on for a solid 5 minutes prior to starting this video. It was quite funny.
The day after Thanksgiving we went to the tree farm to pick out our tree. The tree was a little stubborn but I got it down eventually. It kept binding on the saw blade so Steph had to push it over while I cut.
Then I 'man-handled' the tree to the pickup. Might have been just trying to show off for my girls :)
Steph got the tree set up and I put the lights up outside. It was quite a productive black Friday.
We went to Center Grove Orchard with Grandpa and Grandma Gunderson and Uncle Doug and Aunt Alicia - it was a beautiful fall day and there was tons to do!
