Jesus Loves Ellsey Jean

We had Ellsey baptized on May 15 at our church, Prairie Ridge in Ankeny.  The baptism was a private ceremony after the church service.  Pastor Mike talked about how Ellsey's name means 'dedicated to God'.  And that's exactly what we were doing - thank you to all family and friends that will help us teach Ellsey to come to love Jesus!

1 Month!

I can't believe Ellsey is 1 month old already.  Time has gone so fast!  And she's done a lot in her 1 month already:
  • She's been out to eat a few times, to the grocery store, and all around town for errands
  • She's been to both mommy and daddy's work to visit
  • She did great on her road trip home to visit grandparents
  • She's been to the doctor already for a little cold
  • She's displayed her little personality - half cry grunts when she's hungry, squawks when she wants attention, melts in her daddy's hands, and loves naps with mommy!
  • She rolled over!
  • And she's started to discover her voice.  Check it out!

I could watch and listen to her all day - she's so stinkin' cute!  :)

I have Daddy wrapped around my finger already!

A little background on how Ellsey finally came to meet us:

We were scheduled to be induced Monday morning, the 11th, but since 8 other women went into labor that day, we got bumped to Tuesday.

That put Ellsey at 11 days past due and I honestly think she would have stayed put forever - it was a very long slow day of delivery and she needed a few nudges of help, but it was so worth it to meet our sweet little girl!

New family vehicle!

Ready to head off to the hospital!
